What will happen with SETI?

I've heard that something will happen to SETI soon, say next day or two? What is it? What's gonna happen?
Are they starting fresh? Wiping the user stats and starting over with another SETI project?

Personaly I havent heard anything, but I highly doubt that they would "wipe" the stats as that is why most people participate.

heh, yea I guess. though I was kinda hopin they would. start all over. be fine with me!

this graph suggests what I am saying. some kinda change happening end of february/beginning of march.

Yes, we all thought Seti@Home -1 was going to end around this time period but there seems to have been a change in plans. The development of BOINC which is a framework that can support many different applications including Seti@Home-2, AstroPulse, and others has been delayed. The latest word is we may well be running Seti@Home-1 late into the year 2003 and maybe even into 2004.

Like titanmiller, i haven't heard anything eather. The timeline is an estimation of things to come, and the stats will surely be reset for Seti2

I ment that they wouldnt wipe the stats in the middle of the Seti1 project, I realize that they surly will for the begining of a new project. 😉

They will most likely start from 0 for S@H2 stats but they won't reset the S@H1 stats................. I hope!:Q

Must admit I was looking forward to S@H2 ,would mean my S@H1 account would stay in the top 70 of TA instead of slowly sliding down😉

Im wonder when S@H2 will start?😕
