I am currently running my PC with no case, and am told bad things will happen to it.

edit : thats a foam pad i put it on...
 
i heard it will stop working after a while from a friend when i showed it to him. is this true? I'm very careful, i wont drop stuff on it...
 
Since your a new member, I'll tell you, you won't get much help if you don't link things, linkified. PS just keep the PC away from things that might fall on it, also you will have a lot of dust buildup without the case on, I would clean it once a week if I left it off...
 
Right now, I've got the side off of my case with the open side facing the edge of the desk. My two "storage" hard drives are sitting in front of it. Right in front of them are my power supply and floppy drive. On top of my case (about 2/3 on and 1/3 off in order to leave the "do not block" hole unblocked) is my 15k SCSI system drive. Nothing's broken yet (knock on wood).
