I have acquired IBM M50 8187 for my 2 year old son.
So he can get his DvD and Kids games (web or DVD based)
I think I have to up upgrade the Video Card from its built in Video Card.
It has 865G
Here is the pic of computer Specs
Right Now it has P4 2.8 CPU with 1 512 Dimm
I think I will upgrade to 3Gig Prescott or Northword with HT and Memory to 1 or 2 GiG with Dual Channel setup.
I am not even sure the AGP port I have is 1X -4X or 4X to 8X AGP. So I don't even know what even to look for ?

Thanks in advance for Video Card Advise

That is an old computer, and I assume the games your son will be playing won't be demanding. There are many video cards which should fit your needs, and I don't even think you need to waste money on upgrading the processor. If you gave us an idea on the specific software (games) you will be installing, then we can make a better recommendation.

There's no dual channel with P4 it would just be 1 slot, 2 slot.

The system is good enough Serious Sam and Doom 3. I wouldn't try running anything faster. Upgrading a deadend platform is a waste of money because parts are abhorrently expensive.

In all honesty I don't even what games to even get it.
He is my first child :D
I was thinking off recording off His Bob the Builder and Knight Rider etc TV show off Hi-Def and through on his HDD and add to his Playlist (Repative mode)
That is why I was thinking upgrading from 2.8 / 533 to 3 Gig with 800 and HT CPU
with Memory speed of PC3200
You think its is over Kill ?
