wouldn't something like milk be expensive in Kenya? do they have a lot of dairy farmers or something? it's pretty expensive in China (or used to be, up until recently anyway).

Hmmm

If I ever do the Gallon of Milk A Day diet I may just have to move to Kenya...
Wait, 16 cups in a gallon right? So $1 for a half gal? I usually get gallons at Walmart for $1.88, I believe. Although most smaller grocery stores or local dairy companies usually cost closer to $3.

It's possible there isn't much of a market for milk in Africa, considering the avg. temperatures and the lack of refrigeration.

Looks like its off to merry old England with a pocketful of one dollar bills.
I never found any pubs there where you could buy a pint for anywhere close to $1, or even 1 GBP. The cheapest place I found I think was about 1.20 GBP, but most places were much more than that.

10 years ago, 1 buck could buy dinner and 3 beers in the Czech republic. Alas, now its just dinner or a beer.

You are really silly for thinking that. Food is and was REALLY expensive in Eastern Europe.
