What will A BM6 support?

Rifter

Lifer
On Abit's site is says C2 566, if it will support a 566 wont it support faster C2's? like the 700, And also it is in the PIII mainboard section, so will it support the 100FSB PIII's? thanks!

I have a 533a in mine, and it works well. However, you need to make certain that you get a 533MHz or 566MHz chip with the CB0 stepping. Faster chips, as well as the latest CC0 stepping, won't work on the BM6. I don't know why. The Usenet postings I've see from Abit employees suggest that *they* don't know why, either...

colored ports? please explain, and does it work with PIII'S??? it IS in the PIII mobo section of there site.

Already went down this road a while back
It supports Cel566 o/clocked to 892 quite easily with latest BIOS and 1.5 volts all the way to 2.1 volts.
For the life of me could not get my P3 600 to work in it - even tried to mod the socket but give up since it was a real pain. So P3s NO.

then why is it in the P3 mobo section on there site? and also if it will take a 600 celeron wont it take the faster ones? such as the 700?
