have some potential clients, they want to me give them a bid on workstations that they going to use to teach oracle and mcse. which processor should i use? im thinking Athlon classic, or for cheap i can get a duron setup going, or put in moneyu and have a p3.
which will run oracel smoothly, i dont want these machines to be slow. the person that im bidding against is putting p3 733 with 133 bus in his systems. isnt that a wee bit too much processing power for just oracle?
help me out here guys

Get a decent processor ... anything. Heck, get a Duron 700 and overclock it to 1 gig.

However, i'd worry more about ram total and quality as well as fast hard drives.

Running simple databases will not tax a modern desktop. Running CBT's (computer based training/teaching) require average power and average video cards.

Besides, teaching Oracle and MCSE is not computer intensive. Running full Oracle IS. Big difference.

Most schools have crap comps and that's all they need.

Just make sure you undercut the competitors!
