Put two measures of Knob Creek in a rocks glass. Open a can of Coke. Give Coke to the closest child. Enjoy your drink.

Crown Royal is a good all purpose mixing whiskey. Crown and Coke is a classic.

The perfect recipe!

Assuming the child isn't yours, anyway.

Canadian whiskey is the worst whiskey. I suppose Coke might cover up the deficiencies well enough.

If you're mixing it with Coke the cheapest handle you can find. Don't waste decent bourbon on childrens drinks.

Clan MacGregor if you've traversed beyond ordinary self-loathing and really just genuinely hate yourself, all the way down to the core. It's like the equivalent of hate-fucking your soul.

Evan Williams or Ezra Brooks.

Absolutely Evan Williams.
Jack Daniels is overrated\overpriced. You have to be total whiskey snob to demand Jack Daniels.

For a "Jack and Coke", Evan Williams is perfect replacement. 99% of people can't taste the difference.

Even Evan Williams is overkill for mixing with Coke. It's a quality bourbon at a decent price and anyone buying JD should grow a brain and buy Evan Williams instead. But there's still stuff way cheaper that is just fine for mixing with Coke or ginger ale or a goofy grape juice box or whatever children mix it with. Don't waste decent bourbon with heavy mixers that are going to mask it. Find some handle for $12-$15 a 1.75L and use that instead. The fact that a person is drinking xxx and Coke proves that they have no taste and anything would be good enough as long as it has alcohol in it.

I keep a handle of Colonel Lee around for cooking, use it in barbecue sauce and several desserts and also for weird drinks like if somebody wants a mint julep or a bourbon and Coke. Easily 95% as good as Evan, better than Jack and Jim Beam and it's like $14 for a 1.75L. Mixed with Coke or ginger you'd never be able to tell the difference between Colonel Lee at $14, EW at $25 or JD at $35.

Lagavulin 16, Ardbeg Corryvreckan, Old Pulteney 21, or Pappy Van Winkle Reserve.....with the coke.........not!

Seriously though. If you mix coke, use any cheap whisky off the rack that doesn't offend the brain with headaches. Old Forester (rated best budget whisky by critics/boozers), Jim Beam or any of the cheap but decent brands found at Trader Joes will suffice.

...Anything higher than this price point is pissing away good money that could be used for other hooch.

Wild Turkey 101 proof or George Dickel White Label and Diet Pepsi.

Canadian Club Classic and Diet Pepsi if you want something a little smoother.

When my brother was a teen, he used Coke to take the rust off of my dad's Pontiac. That was in the days of chrome bumpers. So Coke has no useful purpose anymore.
