You know how BMW and VW are associate with Yuppies, what cars were Yuppies driving back in the 70's and 80's?

I know BMW and VW weren't all that popular/affordable back then, so they must be driving something else.

hmm. today's yuppies were college students in the 70's and 80's. so.. they were driving.. corvairs, el caminos, chevettes and dusters. based on my experience. (the 70's ones).

I don't think there WERE yuppies in the 70's.. they were sorta invented in the 80's.

The word "yuppie" was invented in the early 80's, but the people had been there for a while.

Those that had a little more $$$ might own a Porsche 944 or 928 (not real Porsche's since the engine was in the front).

The American car buying yuppie might have owned a Chrysler Labaron, or a Cadillac.
