like, pre-star wars kid and numa numa. both amateur videos and pro (but foreign) videos. i'm thinking that tokyo breakfast was the first i can remember. ("if neegah don't go to college...")

The web page where you're supposed to look at a picture and you're supposed to see a ghost, but instead get that annoying shriek and picture of the chick from the Exorcist?

It's hard to remember that far back... the South Park video was earlier obviously, but I'm not sure when it reached the point that we would call "viral" nowadays. I don't really remember whether I saw that video before or after the show started, because I didn't watch the show. I'm guessing the video didn't take off until after the show started though.
