What were the best and worst Christmas gift's you ever recieved?

I got a ferret for Christmas once. I can't really think of a bad one. Does a certain r/c helicopter that I can't fly to save my life count? 😉

NINTENDO 64!!!!!!!!!1

the worst was a toothbrush and toothpaste from my aunt. it wasn't even a nice a toothbrush 🙁

Some really nice argyle socks.
...well, sock (singular) that is. My parents couldn't afford the second sock to complete the pair until my birthday came around.

Probably the best was a CD player. But let me say that this would have been maybe circa 1986 or 1987 and this Kyrocera CD player was about $600 and we weren't making a lot of money back then. The wife had been squirreling away money for a while for this.

The worst would have been a lamp my parents got me when I was 17. Now, I had asked for a lamp, but since I had spent the the past year off and on refinishing antique furniture for my room them picking out a futuristic white plastic lamp with a hard plastic shade, I mean I looked down at it and tried to hide my shock.

BTW-the CD player is still running strong, real rosewood sides, and the most ergonomic keypad of any device I've ever owned.

Best - I have no idea.
Worst - a router. Not the networking device, the tool (it was a Craftsman). Today that would be an excellent gift for me (if I didn't already have two routers), but I was only about 8 years old at the time. I think my alcoholic uncle spent all his money on booze and was regifting that year. I never got to use the thing.

Now that you mention rosewood, this Christmas is going to end up pretty high on the list I think
I  ladybuggy 😀

Probably the book The Rum Diary by Hunter S. Thompson. I have read that book so many times.

Looks like they will be making a movie of this with Depp in 2008

Man, you must have been one odd 17 year old 😀

Worst gift was some Mormon children's book I got from my friend when I was 10.

All the gifts I get from workplace gift exchange have also been pure crap. Junk like a fugly pewter mug, ceramic angel figurines. These gifts are so bad, I would be embarassed to re-gift them. No more workplace gift exchanges for me!

the worst gift I got was a rented video game from blockbuster. I can't remember what it was but I was like you're kidding me right? you rented a game and wrapped it up?

Best - Springfield Armory M1a National Match rifle ($1800)

Worst - A burnt copy of America's Army (seriously)

Ya, what the hell man?

Best would probably be my dog, or my dreamcast that got me into gaming.

Well for the past 4 years I haven't gotten anything. I live too far from my family and my friends and I are on a mutual "just buy something for yourself since you know what you want" thing. Plus I'm single. So I guess you could say that the worst thing I've gotten is literally nothing, as in I didn't get anything.

My best present would probably be the surprise sex my old room mate (yes a girl) gave me. Sure put a smile on my face.

I guess I did get an iron from that room mate too. I don't even normally wear clothes you would iron (maybe someday, when I graduate). I don't think I ever used that thing.

The one I've gotten the most enjoyment out of is a Khoner HW90-LH acoustic guitar.

I really can't think of any bad gifts that I've received...

Sounds like you still came out ahead though from those two gifts.

I got a bottle of bubble bath once. The bottle was in the shape of a wine bottle. I got it from my aunt, who admitted that she got it from an office party and regifted to me.

The best one was probably my car, a Mazda 3 hatchback, from my dad. It was a graduation + Christmas + birthday present.

Why? Because I asked for a lamp? It wasn't the only thing I asked for and I was getting my room together and needed one.

Besides, I'm still odd.
