What were music recording studios called in the early 1900s?

Circa 1900 - 1930, what terms would have sound recording studios been known by? I need search terms.

I don't think I've ever heard anything other than "recording studio". Might try variants of that, like "record studio". Maybe words involving wax cylinders, and edison might get something from the earliest part of your range.

.. i should know this, but i don't.
my guess is that they were called recording studios. Where the word recording doesn't come from the word record, but rather the other way around. Where music would have been "recorded" in any situation where it is written down, hence the word "record" for the round vynil thingie...
Maybe just "music studio"?
