What wattage PS for a AMD K6-2 300??

Im lookin to replace the one i got in my extra computer, its too old/loud...

The label has been peeled off though, and i cant tell what wattage it is... Anyone know?

If you're going to buy new, might as well get a 300w, but a 250w would be fine. I recommend the 300w Antec, ~$50 retail (nearly half that online).

A 185w PSU would be adequate. No reason to go spending a lot of money.

a 300 watt for a 300mhz chip??? My 1.2ghz athlon runs on a 300 watt :)

I dont really hadve anythin in it except a hard drive, vid card, and ethernet

I'll meet your 185W and lower it to 145W. ;) But considering the price difference between a 250W ATX PSU and a uATX 145W PSU, it'd be in your favor to do the 250 (or more, if the price is too good to pass up). Heck, the 145 might be more expensive than the 250.

The K6-2/300 should be taking less than 20W churning away.

right now, I'm running an Athlon 1.4, 2x40GB 7200RPM Hard Drives, 2 CDROMS (DVD ROM, and CDRW), Ethernet, Firewire card, GeForce3, and Soud Blaster Live Value! on a 250Watt Power Supply.....You don't need 200, or probably even 150...
