I am another one who had a GeForce FX 5200 :(

Ditto, I didn't have the money ages ago. Used that FX5200 for a long time before getting a 7600GS AGP. Not really much of a step up since it was on an Athlon XP2500. Ah well :D

I recall when I wanted to replace my BFG 6600GT. It was a couple weeks before the release of the 7600GT I think.

So I thought the 7600Gt was out a few days later but it wasn't and ended up buying an ASUS 6800GT. I came home, installed the card until a few hours of gaming later, the memory heatsinks started falling off the card...

I been able to get a full refund, waited 3 or 4 days and then got a MSI 7600GT.

buying Radeon 9600 non pro for my secondary computer. may be i just got a bad card, but all the drivers were so facked up and it always crashed on me.

I bought a geforce MX to replace my geforce 4200 but realized that it sucked ass and returned it right away

other than that, i've had good luck w/ video cards. voodoo 3 -> gforce 4200ti -> radeon 9800 pro -> 6800GT -> 7800GT which failed and evga gave me a 8800GT under waranty!
