What was your opinion of last nights Donahue ? (transcript inside)

I thought it was a very interesting topic.

I loved this quote :

"If heaven is a place riddled with murderers who believed in Jesus, and hell is a place riddled with victims who had died with the wrong faith, I would choose hell every, any single day. I prefer to be with the innocent victim than to be in a heaven riddled with murderers. "


What are your thougts on the topic ?

I don't know but if it does screw it. If heaven exists I think you get there by being a good person and striving to be a good person, not because you happened to be born to Christian parents vs. having been born to Jewish ones or Islamic parents.

Saying that a person has to be of a particular religion to go to heaven is an illogical cop-out not thought through properly. It's pre-daming those who have little or no exposure to the religion you say is the only valid one, since chances of them ever switching to yours are negligible, through no fault of their own. I think many followers of religion, though they say theirs is right for them, do NOT say that you have to be of theirs to go to heaven.
