i think 172 is the start of 99th percentile.
you gotta wonder what the score percentile rank is biased to. i mean, who scores 130 or lower? you get a couple questions right you've got that. theres obviously quite a bit of selection bias in the LSAT (just as there is a selection bias in this thread), assuming people go into it having read something about it, taken a class, or studied out of a book, and actually want to go to law school.
