Data entry clerk/cleaner at my parent's business. My first outside gig was the same thing for this sketchy tree farm. That didn't last long. 😛

he did crop trials for experimental varieties of plants, mostly corn and asparagus. a little beans/peas i think

me and some other teenage boys did all the grunt work, weeding, pollinating , checking irrigation, harvesting, collecting yield data, other data on size/quality of product. canning samples to send to other researchers. basically corporate research farmer

i.e. farm boy
summers, 1980-1985

i did have paper routes earlier than that, but if it was raining/snowy, my mom would drive me, so i dunno if that counts so much

File clerk for Prudential Insurance. Worked my junior and senior years in high school in program for the "less academically inclined" that had me in class only 'til lunch, then off to work. Loved it.

Paper route. I had a paper router 7 days per week and volunteered at a veterinary hospital on the weekends when I was around 11 or 12 years old.

Picking blueberries. Got picked up at a store with other pickers at 6am and got dropped off at the same store at 6pm.

$14/day.

Having done that job, almost 20 years later, I still wash blueberries thoroughly. Pickers pee on those things.

Busser at a little cantina. Came home smelling of smoke every night.

My best day was when a customer pulled me aside and gave me a $5.00 tip (which was huge for me at the time) because he see that I was busting my ass that night. 🙂

McDees... I was lovin it!!! I was doing a good job, the manager complimented me in the first week itself when we saw I could anticipate the rush and control the french fry supply accordingly!
