What was your first job?

Sold football game programs at the University of Tennessee at the age of 12 or so. Then worked as "lawn boy" for the local swimming pool at 13-14.

I babysat for my sister first but my first real job was Taco Bell when I was 14 or 15. It was actually pretty fun for awhile cause cool people worked there and we'd fvck around quite a bit.

I made Crab Traps in Galveston, Texas. We would push out hundreds of those things a day. Got to work with pneumatic tools and sharp wire. It was a painful job.

I worked for the engineers on base during the "summer hire" program when I was 14. Pulled weeds, mixed concrete, that sort of thing. Pretty crap, got paid $4.25/hr.

Washing dishes, cleaning tables, mopping floors, and cleaning the grill and frozen custard machine at the local Dixie Pig BBQ joint.

Washed semi trucks and trailers in a huge washbay. It sucked in the winter when they would open the doors to bring in a truck. I worked doing that from 15-16

I worked on the Island Queen paddle boat at a local nature/state park.
It had a big paddle wheel in the back, two stories, people would ride it around the lake in the park.
It was my job to tie/untie the boat, pilot it, interact with the people aboard about the nature and general goings on with the park.
It was a great job.. being outside in the summer on the water!

My first job was in the Bottle Return department at Meijer.

Would go home everynight smelling like rotten pop / beer.

But, looking back, it was probably the funnest job I've had.

Now they make you process your own bottle returns.

First Job: at 16 I was a Cashier at Circuit City for the holidays. Got promoted to sales and stayed there for 4 years before moving on.

Chick-fil-A.
As far as fast food goes great place to work. I can even still eat there after working there 2.5 years.
