First job was selling programs for University of Tennessee, I got $0.20 each I think, it ended up netting me ~$10/game + free admission (Notre Dame = great tippers though, made a ton that day), I was 12yo in 1979. Then I worked at the community pool next to my house mowing lawns, etc. for $1.75/hr, concessions for $2.10/hr, eventually lifeguard for $2.35/hr. I was ballin'.
My brother worked for an arcade downtown in '82. After it closed my brother, cousin and I would play for free all night long.
