Wow that was a long time ago.

Van Halen 1984 and a few others. My parents were always cutting edge. They had one of the first CD players out ($1000 back then was like 2,500 now!). They also had DirecTV right after it came out. We had to wait for them to install it because they didn't even have the units yet..hehe.

Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon

I owned that CD before I got my first CD player. Bought it and took it with me to test the players at the stereo store.

Beatles - Yellow Submarine album.

We did the song for chorus in 3rd grade and my parents bought me the CD.

My dad bought me Queen - Made in Heaven when it first came out, I would have been 7 years old. It was the first CD for both of us, up until then I'd listened to his cassettes and he'd never seen a need to change, though he has been converted between then and now :)

wow - my 1st CD player will turn 21 this week - just pulled out the sales receipt and I purchased the player Aug 25, 1985. $472.37 (USD with MA sales tax). Still have the unit packed away in a closet.

Bought 2 CD's with the player:
Eurythmics - Be Yourself Tonight and Dire Straits - Brothers In Arms which was (and still is) a fantastic album.
