early 70s dodge challenger with a 383 in it, 4 door with bad shocks. it would tick and lurch when i made left turns too fast. it had 3 windows in it total, windshield, back and one side window. back then gas was 69 cent a gal. i bitched when it went up to .89

edit: guess i should add that it never got registered or licensed... i drove it for a year like that until i got a datsun 210 hatchback that had gotten broadsided. it was licensed tho, so a definite step up. i got the dodge my freshman year in 1983.

Man I remember no one had the brand new 6 when I first bought it in 2003.... it would turn everyone's heads... I remember no cars had such aggressive design. Maybe only the Altima (when 3D clear tail / headlight casing was just starting to become popular).

Gas Price: Less than $1.00

It was totaled about 2 months later, which was not my fault.

1988 Chevy Celebrity (i think this was in...oh...1994-5). Maroon. Engine already had a knock in it when we got it...and it gave me nothing but problems (including dying on me on my way to school (high school) when it was about 0 degrees out with a -20 to -30 windchill). Ahh the memories.

1980 Plymouth Champ.
1.6L I-4 that made 77HP when it was new with a 3 speed automatic transmission. Had more triple diamonds on it than mopar Ms. I couldn't keep up with my sister's '71 VW Beetle below 60MPH.

Year: 1992

Gas Price at the time: Can't remember off hand. Was in mid '01. I think about $1.40-$1.50. Could be wrong.

Will never buy another Pontiac because of that car.

A Light blue late 80's Chrysler 5th Ave was passed down to me because the brakes didn't work well enough for my father's needs. I called it the Blue Whale. Fortunately the last mopar product i ever owned...

Gas was cheap enough that I didn't even think about it... prolly around $1/gal

Make: Toyota
Model: Corolla DX
Year: '89
Color: White
Gas: Let's just say $12 fills up the tank back in '98.

Very reliable commuter car. Broke down once due to snapped timing belt while exiting freeway. Then somebody totalled it at the middle of the night. Don't park your car near street corners.
