What was your favorite fire arm you ever shot?

I don't know anything about guns, but I've shot several. My favorite is one that my ex-boss owned and let me shoot. It was a semi-automatic pistol with a clip in the handle. It was just slightly larger than my hand, very lightweight and comfortable to hold. It seems like it had virtually no recoil.

Full auto UZI in 9mm.

Thank god I live in a state where NFA weapons are illegal otherwise I'd be one poor SOB.

High Standard Supermatic Citation .22LR target pistol

Second would be a full auto AK-47, with 50rd magazine at Knob Creek.

umm....some .22 pistol. That one didn't have much recoil. Shot a 9mm but almost broke my thumb keeping it on the hammer.

Shot a .410 shotgun, that was pretty cool too.

I shot a muzzle-loader musket once. It nearly took my shoulder off, and all my buddies (who knew what to expect but didn't tell me) were rolling on the ground in laughter.

For pure entertainment value with target shooting I have always liked a .22LR with some bottles and cans.

For fun hunting, the .300WSM and making groundhogs explode is great.

The 2 most memorable shooting experiances were once when I was 9 back when a military branch (don't remeber which one, think marines though) always had a unit up at the local range and a truck full of ammo that they didn't want to shoot so they would let you shoot some of it so they wouldn't have to. So as far as I know I'm the only 9 year old to shot a .50 belt fed machine gun in the prone position, but I also remember being disaopointed when I found out how much of a pussy weapon the M16 was.

The other was bear hunting with a .460 whetherby mag. Wow that was a lot of kick.

Ohhh...Hard to pick.

Favorite big gun has gotta be the Carl Gustav 84MM recoiless rifle...put a hole through the side of an old sherman with a concrete warhead...sucks up all the oxygen though, makes you feel all tingly.

For sheer "Look at the size of my balls" factor, the C3 105mm howitzer has gotta do it. 12.5km range...oooooh baby.

For the "Ooooh the barrel is glowing white" effect, probably the C6 GPMG (americans know it as the M240). Fire 3 full belts at one go, and see how freakin' hot the barrel gets.

FN2000 (because it was "exotic")
Sig 550
MP5 9mm
M4 carbine

they were all fun. I still love my AK-103, AK-74M, and Ruger 10/22 though.

That little ruger is hard to beat.

Any magnum revolver. You hit them anywhere they going down, vest or not. I also perfer the grip as opposed to autos.

I'm sure something like a MK19 would be the ultimate.

And I just love my old bolt action Ruger 7mm magnum hunting rifle,

it's very versatile -- can hunt just about anything with it:

from a jackrabbit to a wapiti.

I am curious about how you come to that assumption.

Just like most any site the ideas/opinions about guns are really off.
