What was your best-tuned Gran Turismo 3 car

I think my best was the Lancer Evo VII, Turbo 3 and all the goodies. I ran that sucker to death. It was fun beating the pants off Team Oreca's Viper on the test track by more than 20 second with a little V6.

Is that the one for the ps2? Played that at a friend's house, the um.. Zonda I think? Could modify it to over 1k horsepower, NA 12 so you didn't have to rev much to get that power. Made up for lacking skills and then some 😉

I thought EVO7's have a turbo 4-cylinder, not a 6.

I just got GT3, so I haven't gotten very far yet, but I've gotta say so far, this game is a disappointment! I swear to god it puts a handicap on you in a race. In the model specific races, I can be driving a tuned version of a car, racing against the computer (who is driving a stock car), and it will OUT ACCELERATE ME. Talk about f'ed up.

And the prize cars suck! I beat the Audi TT race series the other day. And what car do I win? ANOTHER AUDI TT. I obviously already have one, since I just won the Audi TT race series. What the hell am I going to do with another?:thumbsdown:

Gurck - yeah, the PS2. I had to get my wife her Viper. After NA3, Semi-racing exhaust, port polish, engine balance and the racing chip, the stock viper is 1006HP. If you go with racing exhaust it's 1024HP. With a full customize tranny and lightweight 3 I think I was able to get to 267mph. Really nice in the stretch.

Triumph - yeah, that does kindof suck. But 200K for the speedway endurance race (100 laps) and I ended up with a Corvette C5R, only winning by something like 8 laps.
