That might have been the biggest disappointment for me.

I'd have to say ME2.

I don't spend much time in the PC gaming forum, but I'm glad I'm not the only one.
I logged like 5 hours in that game and never played it again. For a Civ game that is a massive failure. Normally those games steal your soul for a week. I just did not find it much different than the past versions and did not care to finish a round at all. Also the turns were slow on a Core i7 with 8GB of RAM. Lame.

DOW2 was an awesome game. I loved playing through it with my brother on co-op. I'm glad I'm not a rabid fan of the series so I was able to appreciate a well made co-op game.

A lot of the games mentioned are cross platform, and the OP doesn't specify, so I'm not sure if this was supposed to be restricted to PC games only or not.

I understand it, because it's in the PC Gaming section, as "What was your #1 rated (PC) game of 2010", with the (PC) part being implied.

For me, it's a tie for the number 1 position:
Mass Effect 2/Dragon Age: Origins

Honerable Mention is easily Batman: Arkham Asylum, but it could've gone to Mafia II also.

Worst game of 2010 is probably BlOps. It's so bad, I wouldn't even pirate it!D:

(Fallout: New Vegas can be my game of 2011... but only because I just got it last week)

Starcraft 2 if the map pool and balance wasn't horrible it would win by a clear mile. It barely edges out because the SP makes up for the horrible MP release in which Terran players were dominating by a landslide in nearly every tournament.

Having played Warhammer 40k-esque games since Space Hulk and Space Crusade in the very early 90's (maybe late 80's) and owning over 40 books from the Black Library, I absolutely loved Dawn of War 2 and thought it to be more enjoyable than Dawn of War 1 (even though Dawn of War 1 was a great game in itself).

I'd call myself a huge fan, not so much rabid.

DoW 1 played much more similar to the table top game though.

Though, I do find it weird that the poster that is complaining about how Space Marines are so OP in the game doesn't realize that Space Marines in the WH40k universe are indeed incredibly powerful, able to take on armies two or three times their size quite easily. They are genetically engineered super soldiers bred for war, so yeah, they are that damn good.

I pretty much only played LoL & a little TF2 last year so even though it came out (in Beta) in 2009 I'll go with LoL.

HoN easily consumed most of my gaming time... I still suck (comparatively), but I enjoy it ever so much :)
