Yes, but this one put an end to needing any others. It was the definitive gmail thread, where parties could flock in harmony and exchange gmail friendship throughout the world.

exactly, it doesn't have to REPLACE the sticky thread but why does it have to be LOCKED

I can easily pick 20 other threads that should be locked, half of which should be in other forums.

because the mod on duty has issues with it. There is no good reason, that is why there is no mod quote saying why the thread(s) were locked.

Things are getting out of control again. Just because Anand is off on his honeymoon, we have a rogue mod.

The lock was a bit uncalled for. That was a completely new type of Gmail thread that would have prevented a lot of others.
