I initially read more or less the same story last Friday on CNN and couldn't believe it. I checked MSNBC and Fox and they had no such story. I swear it was minutes later and it disappeared from CNN's website (which is pretty bad anyway, their last four recent stories under Middle East can go unchanged for a week, and they have maybe 1-2 per day under 'more World stories'...)

I later found the same story that night on Al Jazeera but wasn't sure how reliable they are. It was also weird that while searching for other sites with the story, there was a story that in a statement on that day or the day before, Pres Bush said something like he was satisfied with the coalitions attempts to keep collateral damage and civilian casualties down in Afghanistan...

I can't believe that this really happened without hearing everywhere about it, but there was CNN, Al Jazeera, and the link I posted with more or less the same story, if not other places.
Did it just turn out to be some major factual error, say they meant 200-300 insurgents were killed by a coalition airstrike :D, or something like there was civilian casualties but someone screwed up the count 100x?
