Something that really changed the way live, work, etc?

I'm thinking its probably the PC or maybe the internet. I can't really think of anything that has completely changed our lives since then.

same answer... God ;)

no its not.

it just seems like we haven't invented anything new since then. we just keep building on existing things but nothing original.

Sliced bread. That's why any other invention is only "the greatest thing since sliced bread", because nothing else could possibly be #1.

I would have to disagree with this, especially for me personally. The cellphone has not increased my quality of life at all. I keep it in the center compartment of my car in case of emergency. I'm sure the cell phone is extremely useful for business professionals, traveling salesmen etc., but for your standard person, I'm not sure how useful it is relative to say, the internet.

The sundress was a great invention. If I ever came across the person that invented the sundress, I'd buy them a beer. Women look so hot in sundresses.

Time machine, just finished it 5 minutes ago. Now I am going back in time to get an antiquated computer to fix the DST issue and the post on an internet message board about how I am from the future, and they should do away with gobalization because the Russians will nuke us and the French-chinese will claim Hawaii.
