The WMC's finally died out. One thing that's never changed...........no matter how silly or unvelievable the error, when a retail webiste has a pricing error and the Ferengis try to order, and their orders are invariably cancelled, the "Let's sue 'em!" chant starts......every time.

FuseTalk was the biggest change that ever happened. The death of the subscription service was a death that didn't need to occur.

Yeah, particularly a certain political orientation.

That's hardly the biggest change though, and not applicable to OT.

Yeah but it did suck rather severely at times for the non-subscribers. On a friday night it felt like playing quake on a 28.8 modem.

Frigging LPB's :p

The biggest change, from my perspective, was the creation of P&N. Believe it or not, the nasty arguments that go on there used to be in ATOT.

How about when they banned coupons in hot deals and thus many members left for a new site called Fatwallet?

Yeah, that and the banning of "dealers" off the F/S-F/T forum. Oddly, they were some of the best sources for hardware I have ever found, but I can totaly understand why it was done. I still miss the good ole days of one stop shopping at AT.

When we switched over the the new FuseTalk and there was the old and new one running at the same time for testing. Oh and when the forums were so slow you practically had to have a subscription to make it bareable

The recent banning of Lifers have shook things up here, no? And many more oldies leaving/posting less.

Most of us were most appreciative of that change. P&N is a cesspool.

People remember things about internet forums?

Ok... um.....

Well, one time I was using the search and it actually worked. So I'd have to say that was memorable.

If you were to take a time machine back to the creation of OT, you wouldn't recognize it. Its changed so much now, It's hard to remember those days.

Nah all the oldies left before you guys even joined. They hang out in a private forum where only those of us with invites can participate. Members like H8tank, NoWherMan, UG, John Lee, the MadCats, Sunner, Voxx etc. The Oldies you speak off were for the most part just the first influx of Kiddie Ganmers anmd AOL Rejects the infested this place when word got out how cool it was..or use to be.

The breaking off of P&N was the biggest thing. We lost a lot of intelligent posters when that happened.
