Ugh, that is one of the questions I have to answer for my book report. How are you supposed to answer those types of questions???

The authors purpose of this book was to tell an intricite story, worthy of many sequels and million-dollar contracts. Apparently he was a success at his endeavor ;)

Was it nonfiction? If so, then his purpose was probably to educate or inform. If fiction, to entertain, tell a story, etc.

I think that's a little too elementary...

What book are you talking about here?

Cause his publisher kept tellnig him that if he didn't, it'd be a breach of contract.

or:

Because he wanted students like me to be tortured in this hellish class reading this crappy book.

Just give some obscure answer. Teachers look at that and think you actually put thought into the answer.

Questions like that are loaded and may not have a specific answer. Read the book and tell your teacher what *you* think the author was/is talking about.
