What was that game...

With the pending release of Mario Maker, it reminded me I've seen people talk about a tower defense type game where you make castles with traps and other players play your level to try to steal your treasure.

What was that? I suck at googling apparently as I tried searching a number of times...

I don't know exactly how it works, but it got me to thinking about how it might be cool to have a game where all the levels are made by users ; nothing overly complex really but along the same lines as Mario Maker but with the above type of scenario and with the same 'you have to beat it first' rules.

There would be a few different scorings using levels you beat, vs how many people played your level vs. died. There woudl be some sort of level order, but it would NOT be determined by player rankings, but by some other means. Perhaps based on that played vs. beat ratio vs died % ratio.

am I insane? I could have swore I had seen a few people here talk about some game as described above. I thought it was Castle Crashers, but that isn't it.

I used to be able to answer these better, but playing MMO's limits your info on games.

If the question is tower defense, my answer is pretty much Defense Grid.

This sounds awesome! I did some googling but couldn't find anything. It is hard to search because there are so many flash games and little apps. Is it one of those or is it a PC game? Just by your description it sounds like a cross between Dungeon Keeper and Orcs Must Die. Which would be amazing :O

I'm not sure - I think from the videos I watched it might be Mighty Quest for Epic Loot..but I've never played it so not 100% sure.

I don't think it works exactly like my idea, but it is similar.
