i recall there is castle siege game that we can shot arrow to the enemies, it keeps getting harder as the stage go on, we have special skill to attack the enemy, pout the oil, throw stone, and catapults, the wall will keep decreasing if enemy attack it, the goal of this game was to protect, while we build a castle, the archers and the builders substitute each other meaning is , u can assign how many archer or builder according to you, Does anyone know what this game called ? i believee it is below year 2001

Not the game you're thinking of, but Rome Total War was always fun when you garrisoned a city with 100% archers and the enemy couldn't even sustain enough soldiers to get the battering ram to the city gates long enough to crack it open -

I never played Rome:TW, but I played Medieval 2:TW for years. Same tactic but I also kept a few platoons of peasants near the inside gate to run out and kill anyone holding the ram and generally stall the enemy while my archers and towers obliterated their army. And now I need to stop talking about it, otherwise I'll end up playing it again.

Yeah sounds like stronghold. I was really into these back in the day, anybody remember lords of the realm? I burned many hours on that one...fond memories

While I never played the first one I did spend tons of hours on the lords of the realm 2, archers very also very important in that game. I was so disappointed in the #3 though when it finally came out I dont think I even finished a single game.

Definitely, it must be Strong Hold series. Pouring oil from walls, crafting bows for archers and gathering food from Mills and Farms. Damn, it reminds me of my school days.
