Leap Year.

Each year is technically longer by about a quarter day or so... just slight imperfections in minutes per day, etc. After about four years, that adds up to a day.

That's my understanding.

No offense, but I thought everyone knew about leap year. Don't they teach that in 1st grade?

Definitely not everywhere in the world. Not even everywhere in the United States... Arizona doesn't screw with the clock twice a year.

That was my first thoughts too, Rob... But then you have to keep in mind that there are a lot of people posting on this board who grew up in other cultures.

(I'm not positive if that's the fact in this specific case... But I'm sure you get the point.)

Btw, PCFetish... Did you get your problems with the new system fixed?

February generally has 28 days
If the year is evenly divisible by 4, a day will be added to the month of February resulting in a 366 day year, that is, a leap year.
If it is a century (1800, 1900, etc.), it will not be a leap year unless it is divisible by 400 (2000 was a leap year, for example).

The leap year system should not need to be fixed for several thousand years.
