i'm not sure about usage. are both of these correct/wrong?

"I don't know what channel it's on"
"I don't know which channel it's on"

what can mean you just don't know the channel

Which is probably more accurate in that case. Either way both function fine as secondary adjectival clauses, so grammatically it's correct, just not sure on usage. I'd go with which.
