What virus is this??!? My notebook's infected!!

Okay, everytime I try to empty my Recycle Bin, it gave me an error. I go into the bin, hit CTRL-A, delete everything manually, and now its empty. But the icon on the desktop isn't cleared. So I try to empty it again, and it asks if I'm sure I want to delete 'WINDOWS'.

WTF???

I would *NEVER* put c:\windows in my Recycle Bin. In fact, I would think the OS is built to prevent such a thing but who knows...this is Windows XP Pro in FAT32 mode (yeah, stupid laptop) so I don't want to chance anything.

Any new virii or worms that have this sort of behavior?? Lately I've been seeing a lot of old documents randomly deleted...I think something is moving things into my Recycle Bin without me knowing!!!

Don't know... don't empty anything and just do a virus scan.

I had that problem, only not as severe. .exe files would just vanish, and I couldn't figure out why.
