Good question, I can understand why you are cautious about using 3.3v video cards in 1.5v slots. This only applies (to my knowledge) to Intel chipsets (815 through 850e) They are specified for ONLY 1.5V of power. If you put in a AGP video card TnT1, Riva, Old Voodoo's Your system will be Kaput.

But you have a Asus K7V. It can handle BOTH AGP 1.0 and 2.0. ATI cards especially Ive had the Most luck with. I tried a Radeon 8500 64MB on a Aopen AK72 (same chipset as yours) and it worked fine, also a geforce 2 vivo, which had no problems either.

Also in your case get a video card that has 2 RAMDACS. ie. Geforce 4 or above and Radeon 8500 and above.

You will be fine, don't get a gf4mx, you are buying a gf2.....you would trully be better off getting a gf3ti200, or maybe a ti4200 if you got the extra cash. You can check the fs/t forums and pry find a gf3ti200 for like 50-75$.
