what video card is recommended for HL2?

Hello,
I just need some input on what video card you would recommend for HL2? Is it too early to say? I do not want to spend over $150.00. Has anyone had any luck with refurbushished cards?

Well the fact is, the best cards you could possibly get for HL2 would be 9800Pro or 5900Ultra. In your case Id say 9500Pro.

Well. The E3 video looks amazing. It was run on a 9800pro 256mb. So using common sence...A 9800pro or better would be pretty good for it.

I don't think anyone really knows what the best card for HL2 will be because no one has seen benchmarks of it?

A couple things we do know:
1. $150 will buy a lot more video card by the time HL2 does come out
2. You're better off to wait because $150 isn't enough to buy a "future proof" card now
