What video card is best for MVP3 motherboards?

I have an AMD K6-2 350 running on a FIC VA-503+, will a Diamond Viper2 run properly on that chipset/motherboard? Anyone here with actual experience with one, coz I can't seem to find any review on K6+Viper2...

😕

Should run fine...thats not a great video card, but I built a K6-2 system with that card and it ran fine...

If you're looking for a good video card for a K6-2 system go for a Voodoo3. I had one on my K6-2 and K6-3, it worked great. Try and get the 2000 if you can becuase your CPU wont max it out so there's no point in getting anything faster. 🙂

I should've mentioned it...

I need a video card with good quality TV-out, and it have to work propoerly with my MVP3 motherboard... it doesn't have to be fast, I just need a medium priced one that will do TV-out and DVD decoding...

I heard that the ATi Fury(Rage128) won't work well with MVP3, is that true?

If I have to pick between the Voodoo3 3000, ATi Fury, or the Diamond Viper2, which one should I pick for best TV-out + 3d + compatability? Of course compatability will be #1 priority.

its might be hard to get the viper2 to run, the voodoo3 is the easiest to get working. ATI rage128s were easy too, i used to have the xpert128. Though you'll want one with tv out, the ati's have the best dvd decoding so get that, its pretty cheap.

Voodoo3 TV out is outright terrible- worst I've ever used. Its 3d will be the best on your system, though...

Right now I can get a used Viper2 w/TVout at $120cdn, or I can go for a brand new ATi Fury w/TVout for $140, or a brand new Voodoo3 3000 with TVout for $140... which one should I get?

Which one will be the most trouble free, DVD ready (on a K6-2/350mhz), and have good quality TVout?

Something to consider. A stripped down OS will run DVD decoding fairly well on a 350Mhz chip as long as you aren't doing anything else. Maybe what would be better if you want the DVD decoding to TV would be to get a Hollywood+ card that will do hardware decoding and provide tv out in and of itself. Should be cheaper than a new video card if the card is doing everything you need it to do already except the above two items. I had an early MVP3 board that was picking an AGP cards so my only choice was a Banshee card.
