What video card at 89MHz AGP Bus?

I am building a PIII700@933 system for a friend.

They want a "cheap" video card that will run at a 89MHZ (mother board doesn't have 1/2 AGP mult). I bought a Savage2000 but I now know that isn't going to work.

What should I get on a budge of less than 100?

Do all of the GeForce2 MX cards support that high AGP bus? How about ATIs?

My CL TNT2 Ultra & Matrox G400 both worked great at 89 and higher. No problems there, bx6R2

The MX should work fine,
I think all of the brands do if you disable SBA or go to AGP 1x, (which I have never seen really decrease performance).

My Leadtek GF2 runs great at 89mhz, and its overclocked to 260/385 too 😉

That is what I am running too... a GeForce2 GTS.

The guy that I am building this for doesn't need that power. I think I will just pick up a used CL TNT2 Ultra.
