Microsoft HUP is great. Got 2013 pro plus for $10. If you have a military email you can get in on the deal. Some business emails also work but it depends.

office 2010 over here. the conversations in outlook is nice. apart from that, it's the same as office 2007. 2013 is just too much "cloud" and "metro". i don't like it.

I've got Office 2007 on my Windows 7 systems and LibreOffice on my Ubuntu rig. I don't really use it that much, so the older version of MS Office is fine.

You know one thing that has always annoyed me with Office calendar is when you get several reminders at once that pop up, you can't snooze all at once, you have to manually select them and then click on snooze. Thunderbird has this option.

Anyone else agree with me?

as for which one I use, 2013. Most have 2010 at work but eventually we'll migrate probably when the next ver. of windows is out...

Using 2010 at work, 2013 at home (got it through the HUP and couldn't resist). In all, I'd say I prefer the latter. It took some time getting used to opening to a screen full of templates when 95% of the time I just want new, blank doc, but it's all good.

Wish they still had the black theme option, gray and white just don't cut it for me in the 2013 version.
