I just downloaded Steam yesterday to play some hot hot retro-TFC. I've never played HL2, but I thought I should pick it up since I liked the original so much.
I have a few options to buy it:
HL2 only from Steam, $30
HL2 with CS:S and HL:S from Steam $50
HL2 everything from steam: $70
Retail options, Gogamer has the same thing Steam sells for $50, but they only charge $40 (GotY edition). There is also a HL2 Platinum edition coming out on 6/27 for $50 (same thing on Source is $70).
Now, I will never play CS:S most likely. DoD:S is a maybe, I never really got into the original and I like RTCW:ET way more.
Is HL:S worth it? It's been forever since I played HL, so it'd almost be like a new game.
