My system is running real sweet :) so I installed Notons Utilities-2003 and now my games are running kinda stttttuderry at times, even though I made sure nothing was left on the task bar.

So time to uninstall.... :D

One of the utilities that I really liked was Nortons-WinDoctor so if someone could point me to a Nortons-WinDoctor clone I would greatly appreciate it!!

Well maybe I have an older version of NU, but I always only install the required minimum stuff + speed disk, disk doctor, and windoctor and run them when I feel like it. Simple enough, no garbage.

OTOH, although windoctor fixes a good amount of errors, they probably aren't anything to be concerned about usually.

There are some pretty good registry cleaners available (many free) that do a great job for win 98, but for Win XP, Norton Win Doctor is the most reliable. Be very careful with registry cleaners in XP as I have not only read that they are of doubious value, but have seen first hand the damage they have done to systems long after you think everything is working fine.
