How does Fusetalk (Anandtech) decide what names not to allow people to join as? One of my friends wanted to sign up, but the first message was that his account was not allowed to post/reply or edit on the forums. What's up with that?

It could have something to do with the fact that it was a second account, and the name you registered was AnandTechGoderator. Both strongly suggest you are probably a troll.

was he using AOL or Compuserve? That's the most common reason for that (they are both banned here). Maybe there is a chance that he tried signing up under a name that someone had used before but that name was banned. Just some shots in the dark.
