1/4 cup of flour plus 1/4 milk per egg. Use as many eggs as you can eat. Whisk it together. Preheat oven and skillet with half stick of butter to 425. Pour batter in and bake until risen, golden brown.

Variations: top with baked apples, berries, etc.

Butter on pancakes, sometimes syrup.

French toast is always both butter and syrup.

The french toast needs vanilla and cinnamon.

The syrup needs to be REAL dark amber maple syrup.

Half an inch thick of powdered sugar and enough maple syrup to reach the brim of the plate on my french toast.

French toast--real butter and syrup. Preferably dark amber maple, but Log Cabin will suffice.
Pancakes-- real butter and syrup. Rogers' Golden Syrup, dark amber, or Log Cabin, HOWEVER, on occasion, I like pancakes with butter and jelly instead of syrup.

My wife makes great coconut-banana pancakes with home-made coconut syrup a couple of times a year...mmm-mm-mmmm-mmmmmmm!

French Toast: honestly, I like them bare. The past few times I had them, I used syrup and that just make them mushy and too sweet.

Pancakes: butter and absolutely syrup.
