What type of zombie would you rather deal with?

28 Days later zombie - fast, easily pass infection, but they die from starvation, enhanced senses?

Resident Evil zombie - mean, relentless, die out eventually (10-15 years?)

Dawn of the dead remake zombies - fast, pass infection with bite, never die, mass swarming, can learn?

Dawn of the dead classic zombies - slow and possibly quiet, pass infection with bite, mass swarming, never ending suply

I am legend zombies - seem somewhat intelligent, strong, cannot come out in sunlight

I use the term zombies loosely. The true zombie in my mind is an undead person meaning they died but are now undead as opposed to zombies caused by viruses.... but I had to have a little more action in the poll. In the end they all eat fleash so are the same in that regard.

Which one would you rather have to deal with?

For me I would say dawn of the dead classic zombies, because they are slow. But you never know you could let your guard down and they could sneak up on you.

Edited to add World War Z zombies since they talk to each other.

Zombie nef fest.

I hate the quiet types

I would take Resident Evil, because they would die out (so eventually things could be 'normal' and zombieless lives could continue) , are not quiet, and are relatively slow (they cant run).

I never watched dawn of the dead. But if they are anything like return of the living dead zombies wanting nothing but brains. I would never have to worry. They cant get through my hard head.

I Am Legend doesn't count - they're not zombies, they're vampires.

I'd rather face NotLD zombies, RE and 28days are rather scary.

A zombie is a reanimated corpse.

So neither 28 Days Later or I Am Legend are zombies. In fact, I Am Legend was specifically supposed to be vampires.

Dawn of the Dead (same as Night of the Living Dead) zombies, big problem here. The bite does not spread the infection. The bite kills you. Dying in ANY way makes you a zombie.

Dawn of the Dead remake zombies are also bad as they are standard zombies, but fast.

If you want to include 28 Days Later, they have both a drawback and a benefit. The drawback is that they're faster, stronger, and more vicious than normal zombies. The benefit is they die in the same way a normal person would. So you don't have to be a head shot sharp shooter, and they can starve.

I never really knew enough about Resident Evil to comment on them.

So I think the worst option would be the Dawn remake zombies, as they're just too hard to deal with. The best option would probably be 28 Days Later as you have the highest probability of returning the world to normal.

Also I think you should include World War Z zombies as an option. Infection spread by bite. They are animated corpses. Rot far slower than normal corpses. Move slow. Killed by headshot. Can walk on the ocean floor without being crushed by pressure. Takes several days from bite to death and rise as zombie. Can "communicate" with other zombies by a loud moan when spots food.

Yes I made the disclaimer. It would have been a lame poll with just Dawn of the dead versus Dawn of the Dead (still may be a lame poll). I do need to check out this World War Z movie. I know in Land Of The Dead everyone thought they were protected by the river... but the zombies fought the current and walked right across to the city where everyone lived.

I am fat and slow, so I'd have the best chances against the Classic Dawn of the Dead zombies.

World War Z zombies don't talk to each other. They just wail, and other zombies are attracted to it. They and the DotD ones are about the same

RE. Pretty slow, no passing of infection so bites and scrapes are not a huge worry. But look out if they are RE5 zombies, because if you kill any of them you are a racist.

I'd prefer the classic DotD zombie. Something about a never ending supply of slow moving zombies to shoot sounds appealing.

World War Z isn't a movie yet (though I believe it's been licensed). It's a book written by Max Brooks (Mel Brooks' son), who also wrote The Zombie Survival Guide.

My answers are based on the long term. I figure I'd have a better chance at short term survival against Dawn of the Dead zombies sure. But they don't end. Even if you kill every zombie, anyone who dies becomes one again. I think the best chance for survival, permanent survival, is against 28 Days Later. Because you have a better chance of it ending without the need for a giant offensive. They eventually starve.

I've never played the RE games, but the RE movies followed the classic zombie role where a single bite would kill you and turn you into a zombie.

Well this can't be good:

Dangerous virus on mainland

So potentially we could have an I Am Legend, 28 Days, or Resident Evil zombie outbreak potentially killing billions. Hell would then fill up and the dead would come back to life for the double whammy.

My next poll:

What type of weapon would be best to defend against zombies?

I like my trusty m1 carbine. Light weight accurate semi-auto and can carry lots of pistol caliber ammo.
