What type of TV should I buy? $1000 or above

I am looking to buy a new TV and maybe be above $1000. Should I get Projection TV (cheaper) or HDTV?

Recommend me any good projection TV and HDTV.

Help!

depends, what are you going to use it mainly for? If you're going to spend that much, go ahead with a rear projection HDTV. The Toshiba 42" 42H82 is about $1500, and the Toshiba 40H80 (40" widescreen) is about $1200.

Also, how much more than $1000 are you willing to go? Are you going to be mainly watching TV, playing games, or watching movies? You also might wanna check out the Samsung 47" widescreen HDTV for about $1500 as well.

Edit: For regular HDTV's, 32" Samsung and Toshiba ones go for about $1000, widescreen and non-widescreen. I'd go for the widescreen because personally I really don't care how my cable TV comes in as, but i care about my movies the most. (i.e. I don't care how movies/TV/games sound on my sound system, but i care about music, because music is the most demanding medium for my system)

IMHO, you definitely might as well go HDTV if your breaking the 1K mark

32" goes for about $1700-$1800, I think :)
