Question what type of switch/hub/dock to connect 2 computers to 1 set of monitors and be able to switch between the computers

I have 1 work laptop (windows) and a school laptop (macbook). when I use either one, they would be connected to my dual monitors. the windows PC has 1 hdmi to my first monitor, and an adapter to connect to a vga to my second monitor. The macbook is usb c, so I'm using both c and using an adapter.

is it possible to have a switch/hub/dock to permanently connect both computers to the monitors and when I need to swtich between work and school, I can just press a button on the peripheral? If so, what would I need to buy?

There are tons of KVM switches (keyboard, video, mouse) out there, although ones that support dual monitors are pretty rare in my experience.

Get two KVMs, one for each monitor? Or something like an HDMI device selector, if you're using HDMI? Press the appropriate button on the KVM or HDMI device selector, to select the input source? (If they have manual button-based switching... some use keyboard hotkeys, possibly ONLY.)
