what type of ram???

Well I just assembled a system based on an asus p4pe black pearl with a P4 2.4Ghz, Radeon 9700 pro and 512mb of PC 2700 (ddr333) is there a faster ram I can install? will it make that big of a difference in games like unreal II, ut2003, etc? Also I am currently running the cpu at 2.7 ghz through the bios. 150mhz bus 18xmultiplier, memory is at 375mhz, it's been running this way for a few weeks now and I'm wondering if I'm reducing the life of my system to terribly much. thanks. joe

pc2700 is fine, this is a 533 FSB processor so pc3200 would be pretty much a waste

hey, thanks your machine looks pretty hot. how much faster is your 9800pro than my 9700pro? How long until the next "latest and greatest" video card comes out and who do you think it will be, ati or nvidia???

shminu, if you're referring to the last line of shady's sig, refer yourself to it.

joseph, the 9800 Pro isn't much faster than the 9700 pro, if you already have a 9700, it isn't worth the upgrade. As for the 'latest and greatest,' nobody really knows. Probably sometime next year.

i dont think you can really see the difference between the 9700 pro and 9800 pro unless you run benchies and even then it isnt all that much
