What type of Ram would i need?

I recently got an old laptop from work and wanted to know what type of ram i would need

Ibm Thinkpad 600
p2 266mhz mmx
64mb ram (i want to add more)
4 gig hd
13.3 inch xga screen
24x cd rom
1usb port
2 pcmcia ports


were would i even add ram to it, were are the dim slots ?

IIRC, pc66 sodimm.

The P2 233 could have used a few different kinds of RAM. I would have thought 233 was too low for a P2. I think it could be anything form Fast Page 60 or 70 RAM that often came in pairs of DIMMS to SDRAM of some kind.

Who knows what a laptop would have.

Try looking on the bottom sometimes there is a small panel for upgrading the RAM. Make sure that thing is off when you do that.

You may be able to look up the model number and download a manual from somewhere on the internet from your manufacturer.
