What type of raid scsi card for Poweredge 1600SC? I'm new to this RAID setup

I'm now have two 73gb u320 hard drive on my Poweredge 1600SC and I want to setup RAID. This is computer is for photoshop. Illustrator, and 2D/3D Maya software, basically for heavy graphic softwares.

Whst type of RAID scsi card do I need? that is compatible with 1600sc....

What type of RAID should I do? raid 0,1,2,3,4,5?


Can anyone explain to me how to set it up? and how much would it cost?

For what purpose do you want RAID? Speed, redundancy, both?

Each card is different. Read the instructions that come with the card.

Starting around $275 and going up from there depending on brand, what options you want/need (battery backup, cache size, etc.)

Sounds like you need to hop on Google and do some reading up on Raid.

raid setup is for graphic software purpose. I use photoshop, Illustrator, and 3D Maya software...

I've heard RAID5 is the best option for me, is that right??
