What type of panels are HDTVs?

We all know that some LCD monitors are TN-6 bit panels.

What about HDTV sets? Are some sets TN-6 bit while others are 8 bit?

Mostly VA and IPS but there are some smaller ones (e.g. 28") that are TNs.
