what type of network?

Well here is the deal, I have a intel anypoint phoneline network setup now, it is not working since I got a new rig + win xp on the internet sharing server, and tech support was no help at all. So I have decided to ditch this network, I need advice on a good non-wired network. I can't go drilling through walls in my house so that is out of the question, I was thinking wireless or another phoneline network (that actually works) thanks for your help.

Personally, I like Orinoco's equipment. Their RG-1100 Residential Networking is only $199. This kit includes bot the RG and a PC Card. Features include: 128-bit encryption, some excellent security features not found with other vendors, and EXCELLENT performance.

oh also I would like to run one of my comps as a linux box but I want the internet for it, is there any solution that will allow both windows and linux at the same time on the network?
